Overview
It’s a good flagship phone, but it’s not perfect. It lacks a telephoto lens and wireless charging, and it doesn’t have the innovative flip camera of its predecessor, which rotated the rear lenses forward to snap selfies. The Asus Zenfone 8 Flip, a limited-edition model, still has that camera, but the normal Zenfone 8 offers excellent features at the lowest price point since the OnePlus 6T was released.

This expensive paper weight will not work on any carriers in the USA. It only has 3G for voice. That means you can’t place or receive a phone call.Asus, I’m ashamed of you. Putting a product out that is not 5G as it is listed is fraudulent.

Sound quality is surprisingly good, both the speakers (at least much better than my previous phone) and the 3.5mm headphone jack !!Fingerprint sensor is unfortunately not the best. Don’t know if it’s my finger but its definitely slower than my previous phone (but I guess it’s more secure and been receiving some updates which seems to have improve that slightly). Previous phone had side mounted sensor which I like. Fortunately the face unlock is fast and I tend to use that instead. Battery life is good (will need more time to test this one) and charging is fast too. Camera quality looks good too (not a priority for me since I have a dedicated camera, so don’t care that there is no telephoto). Screen quality is also very good, not the most accurate colours but you can tweak that. I did find the texts a little too small for me, but was able to adjust that in the phone settings. The UI is what I like in a phone, close to stock but still got some small useful tweaks. Still adjusting to the swipe gestures. Overall, if you are like me, just want a compact phone, definitely consider this one

I bought this as a replacement for my Nokia 8 and the difference is night and day. The display is gorgeous, colors are crisp and warm, plus using gestures to navigate becomes second nature once you get used to it. Swapping between apps is quick and easy. The sound quality is decent, maybe not the best but good enough for me. Software support has been great so far and the phone works with my H2O plan. The battery endures a full day of use and the camera is excellent. I do wish it came with a slot for a micro SD card, though.I’ve really enjoyed using this phone so far! The best feature is its compact size – other phones I considered were huge and that was definitely a deciding factor for me. You get a lot of screen with narrow bezels and its just a really good-looking phone in my opinion. I’d buy it again.

It just came a few days ago with express shipping and the wow factor coming from a samsung s8 is undeniable. This fone has everything imaginable going for it. Blazing fast , the most simple amazing ul ever and google lens on the camera OMG. I purchased it for its size originally and it just perfect all around. Only con i can think of is no wireless charging but i think that is what killed my battery on the s8. I dont often leave reviews but this one deserves all the praise it can get. Way to go Asus !edit: i have to deduct a star for pocket mode . Sometimes i will not hear the phone ring or it will hang up and say i am in a meeting while its in my pocket. I hope it gets fixed in an update as it is an important flaw for a fone 🙁
